GRP Sandwich Panels (Fybacore)
Case Study #1
Glasgow City Council (Schools)
Architects working on behalf of the education department of Glasgow City council were looking to specify a panel product suitable for use in schools that met the following criteria:
- Impact Resistant
- Graffiti Resistant
- UV Stable
- and above all … Maintenance free!
GRP Fybacore insulated infill panels were specified, as they exceeded all expectations particularly with regards to ‘maintenance free’. GRP Panels were manufactured with a heat bonded leatherette surface coating which keeps the panels colourfast and prevents excessive weathering and degradation. An occasional clean down with detergent and water was all that’s required to “freshen up” the panels.

Case Study #2
Dundee Police HQ
When the Dundee Police Authority took the decision to refurbish the exterior of their Headquarters by replacing the windows and decor boards they were looking for boards that would retain their “as new” appearance for years to come – and would be maintenance free!
A local contractor recommended Smyth Composites Fybacore Insulated Sandwich Panels. These were supplied to the specifed RAL code with a U.V. resistant “leatherette” finish. I think you’ll agree the final result looks great!
